Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Participate in Venice Production of ‘Merchant of Venice’
Ruth Bader-Ginsburg may be more of an opera person, but our favorite Jewish Supreme Court Justice is about to participate in a very important Shakespearean production.
She’ll be presiding over a mock trial for Shylock, the principal character of Merchant of Venice, in an event related to an upcoming production of the play this July in Venice, in honor of the 500th anniversary of the city’s Jewish ghetto.
