WATCH: This ‘Harry Potter’ Character Got Schooled With Epic Jewish Lesson
The magical world of “Harry Potter” just got a Jew-y twist.
Leigh Lahav, an artist who specializes in animations with a pop culture twist, has created the ultimate Hanukkah lesson — courtesy of the two Jewish witches in J.K. Rowling’s spin-off series “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
The video, which features amazingly exact character renditions, shows the women explaining what exactly Hanukkah is to the film’s star, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).
“What’s a Jewish?” Scamander asks. “Is it a type of wizard?”
More delightful discussion occurs, including the wizard mixing up a dreidel with a horcrux and revealing there actually was a Hillel house at Hogwarts.
