WATCH: Jon Stewart Tells The Media To Get Over Donald Trump

Jon Stewart popped up on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday night to discuss one of this year’s biggest break ups: President Trump and the media.
And, like any good friend, Stewart had some sage wisdom on the painful process of letting go.
“Hey guys, hey media,” he said. “So, I heard Donald broke up with you. Stings a little, doesn’t it? You finally thought you’d met your match. A blabbermouth who’s as thin-skinned and narcissistic as you are. Well now it’s over! Well, good riddance, I say! Kick him to the curb.”
He went onto explain that the media shouldn’t take the break up personally, nor should they try to get the president back in their lives.
“It is time for you to get your groove back, media. Because, let’s face facts, you kind of let yourself go a little bit for these past few years. You put on a few pundits,” Stewart said. “Obsessing, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, about this one guy. ‘What’s Donny up to? Did he say anything about us? You think he’s gonna come on our show? Do you think he even likes us?’”
The key now, he explained, is for the media to take care of themselves and remember who they were before Donald Trump. Basically, the equivalent of when you break up with somebody and then decide to aggressively take up yoga and get an edgy haircut.
“Here’s my point, media. This breakup with Donald Trump has given you, the media, an amazing opportunity for self-reflection and improvement. Instead of worrying about whether Trump is un-American, or if he thinks you’re the enemy, or if he’s being mean to you, or if he’s going to let you go back into the briefings, do something for yourself. Self-improvement! Take up a hobby. I recommend journalism,” Stewart said.
Oh yeah and side note, the comedian definitely doesn’t think that Trump is not, not the least anti-Semitic person you’ll ever meet.
Stewart played a recent clip of Trump shutting down a Jewish reporter’s question about the uptick of anti-Semitic acts, by responding: “I am the least anti-Semitic person that you’ve ever seen in your entire life.”
To which Stewart responded in a heavy Yiddish accent: “I don’t think that’s true.”
“He said that to a guy wearing a yarmulke,” Stewart added. “Donald, you’re not even the least anti-Semitic person in the clip we showed.”
