The First Question Trevor Noah Would Ask Donald Trump
Trevor Noah was named one of the “35 Most Popular People in New York Media” by The Hollywood Reporter, and he opened up to the publication about who his dream “Daily Show” guest would be.
“Donald Trump, but I don’t know what he would give us,” Noah said. “I think it’d be a fun interview to get, just to see if we could approach it differently.”
The host even knew what his first question to the president would be.
“Knowing now how hard it is to be president of the United States of America, would he go back and maybe undo some of the criticisms he threw at President Barack Obama?” Noah asked. “Playing golf is a good example. He was so adamant that he would never play golf if he were president — and now we see him playing golf. He goes, ‘I need the time, I need to rest.’ Is it possible that you didn’t know how hard this was?”
Trump was a popular topic throughout THR’s interviews with New York’s big-name media personalities, many of whom said that they had gotten direct feedback from the president throughout their careers.
“CNN Tonight” host Don Lemon noted that he has heard from Trump “several times.”
“He called me after some of my interviews to thank me for being fair,” Lemon said. “He said he’d like to do more interviews with me. He said Melania not only liked the interviews but thought I was handsome. He seemed pleasantly surprised by both.”
