These are seven of the funniest people alive. They all happen to be women. They all happen to be in their 40’s and 50’s. They all happen to be best friends. And they are making a movie.
If you aren’t screaming, flinging white wine, and checking to make sure you still have access to your friend’s ex-boyfriend’s brother’s Netflix account, you are making a mistake.
“Wine Country,” produced and directed by Amy Poehler and written by “Parks and Recreation” scribe Emily Spivey, might be the biggest thing to happen to entertainment this decade (other than the rumored Spice Girls reunion.) Spivey and Poehler will star alongside comedy goddesses Tina Fey, Paula Pell, Ana Gasteyer, and most excitedly, beloved Jewish humor superstars Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch.
Oh, and there will be wine involved! Happy, happy day.
