Ben Stiller And The Real Stormy Daniels Join Forces In Starry SNL Sketch

It was a starry and stormy night on Saturday when Ben Stiller returned to “Saturday Night Live” as Michael Cohen along with Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Jimmy Fallon, and the flesh-and-blood stormy Daniels.

In a cold open more focused on shock-value than humor, laughs and artistry come mostly from the show’s repertory players — Kate McKinnon as Rudy Giuliani and Aidy Bryant as Sarah Huckabee Sanders — as well as a stellar rendition of Doctor Harold Bornstein by Martin Short. Stiller is far too sympathetic as Cohen and Fallon overplays the generally-coy Jarod Kushner, but McKinnon continues her apparently inexhaustible demonstration that she is one of the greatest comedians alive. Stormy Daniels, as surprised to find herself on “SNL” as we are to see her there, is her usual delightful self.
