Seth Rogen To Star In Movie Based Off New Yorker Short Story About Pickle Incident

For this writer’s money, it’s no longer safe to assume that any woman would ever be interested in watching a man do anything again.
But in case you’re willing to make an exception, nice-Jewish-boy Seth Rogen plans to star in a movie about a Jewish immigrant who falls into a vat of pickles and stays there for 100 years. It’s based off a novella written for the New Yorker by Simon Rich.
The truth about this fiction is certainly stranger than any fiction about this fiction could be. Let’s look at the exclusive release from Variety:

In reading this release, our spirits have detached from their mortal junkyards and lifted outside of our bodies — we are simply, simply beside ourselves. An Ashkenazi-comedy hinging on a vat of brine? A comic look at how, generation-to-generation, Jewishness has changed in America? A cultural comedy based on a NEW YORKER NOVELLA?
Rogen will star and co-produce with his longtime partner Evan Goldberg, as well as James Weaver, with Sony Studios. No word yet on whether there are any women in this pickle-fest. But for now, it sounds kosher to us.
