Does your synagogue have its own building? If not, where do you meet for services?
Is there an opportunity to socialize after services? Yes, a weekly kiddush is served.
Language of service: Mostly Hebrew
Is another language offered in the prayer book? We use the Rabbinical Assembly siddur with English and Hebrew. We also have a large Spanish-speaking community, about 30 households from Mexico, so we are working on getting a Spanish-language siddur.
Children’s programming: A large family service led by a rabbi and sometimes musicians. We have smaller age-focused services for children, too, from 0-5, 5-10, 10 and up.
Accessibility for people with disabilities: We are very committed to accessibility here, with a task force dedicated to it (the chair of the task force was the author of ADA — welcome to DC!). Our building is above and beyond the ADA; we offer hearing devices, usher training, and closed captioning.
Are services streamed online? Yes, available here.
Are the rabbi’s sermons available online? Yes, they are posted on our website after the High Holidays.
Percentage of members in interfaith marriages? A growing number. About 100 member families are interfaith.

Are there distinct roles for men and women in your synagogue? No, we are fully egalitarian.

Don’t see your synagogue on our site? Fill out the survey here, and we’ll add it in the next regular update.
