Hanan Harchol

Hanan Harchol is a New York-based artist, animator, filmmaker, and classical guitarist. In his artwork, Hanan Harchol addresses psychological, sociological, and ethical themes through narrative drawings, paintings, animation, and film, that usually feature Harchol and his parents. Harchol uses the family as a microcosm for the larger human condition, exploring the universal through the personal. Harchol’s animated series “Jewish Food for Thought” is generously funded by The Covenant Foundation. The series, which centers on Jewish ethical teachings, is featured as an educational resource in schools and synagogues across the country, and on websites ranging from NPR’s OnBeing.org, to URJ.org.
