June 10: Chicago: The Greater Chicago Jewish Festival

Become immersed in a day of Jewish culture at the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival on Sunday, June 10. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Paul Woods, Cook County Forest Preserve, there will be live music (on four stages, featuring the likes of Corky Siegel, Howard Levy and RebbeSoul), comedy (think improv with a Jewish twist), food (expect a Chicago Kosher barbecue competition) and more. Admission is a suggested donation of $5, and parking is free.
The Greater Chicago Jewish Festival, first produced in 1980, is the longest continuously running Jewish festival in America, and the Forward is a proud co-sponsor. It aims to celebrate Jewish identity, weaving together multiple facets of the Jewish community and creating an outlet for sharing, understanding and tolerance. Friends of other religions and cultures are more than welcome to attend and participate.
