Girls Who Code Founder To Ivanka Trump: “Don’t Use My Story”

The founder of Girls Who Code, a nonprofit that offers free computing classes to girls, does not want to be associated with Ivanka Trump.
Reshma Saujani, who is referenced in Trump’s new book “Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success,” sent a strong message to the president’s daughter on Twitter.
”.@ivankatrump don’t use my story in #WomenWhoWork unless you are going to stop being #complicit #askivanka,” she wrote.

Trump’s book, which doles out advice to working women and mothers, includes a passage about Saujani, complimenting her on her mission to close the gender gap in technology.
The book has been panned so far by a number of media outlets, calling it “a strawberry milkshake of inspirational quotes,” (New York Times) “[the equivalent of] eating scented cotton balls,” (NPR) and “vapid”(Slate).
