It is with a deep sense of disappointment that I note the content of your March 25 editorial, “The Fogel Photographs,” and the unfortunate double standard it represents. Your aversion to presenting the pictures of the five murder victims from Itamar and the logic that you presented for your action is in direct contradiction to your printing of a 100-year-old photograph in that very same issue of what appeared to me to be the bodies of four victims from the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire tragedy.
I hope that you will reconsider your initial decision and present the Fogel family’s pictures in death as you did to their fellow human beings of 100 years before. Murdered victims of terror are of no lesser humanity than those who perished due to industrial misconduct.
