WATCH: Israel Forever

My vision for Israel advocacy is to empower students through the power of narrative and to captivate audiences using the power of art. Israel gives expression to the sum and substance of peoplehood, and the destiny and promise of cultural revival that comes with self-rule. Thats what I wanted to capture in this video, created in collaboration with Jerusalem U.

When they ask you why you’re still here
tell them it’s to make history
to become legendary
to build something the world has never seen before
an indigenous people reborn

Tell them that some classics
simply never go out of style

That you’ve still got it

And though you’ve been to hell and back
no one can break your stride

Tell them that this is what willpower looks like
what a warrior looks like
against all odds, invincible

Despite all obstacles
indestructible

When they ask you why you’re still here
tell them it’s where you belong

Tell them, after all these years, you’ve finally come home.

The Forward is free to read, but it isn’t free to produce

I hope you appreciated this article. Before you go, I’d like to ask you to please support the Forward.

At a time when other newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall and invested additional resources to report on the ground from Israel and around the U.S. on the impact of the war, rising antisemitism and polarized discourse.

Readers like you make it all possible. We’ve started our Passover Fundraising Drive, and we need 1,800 readers like you to step up to support the Forward by April 21. Members of the Forward board are even matching the first 1,000 gifts, up to $70,000.

This is a great time to support independent Jewish journalism, because every dollar goes twice as far.
