Ku Klux Klan Newspaper Joins Sheldon Adelson in Endorsing Donald Trump

Only six newspapers across America have endorsed Donald Trump, according to a Politico count. The largest among them is the Sheldon Adelson-owned Las Vegas Review Journal.
Now, Trump can add another newspaper endorsement to the list, though this is one he will likely not celebrate.
The Ku Klux Klan’s official publication, The Crusader, which is published in Arkansas, expressed its support for Trump and for his call to “make America great again.” The KKK paper’s editors noted that America was great in the past “because of who our forefathers were. America was founded as a Christian Republic.”
The Trump campaign rejected the KKK newspaper endorsement. “Mr. Trump and the campaign denounces hate in any form,” the campaign said in a statement provided to the Forward. “This publication is repulsive and their views do not represent the tens of millions of Americans who are uniting behind our campaign.”
Trump and his team have insisted that the candidate has no connection to the Klan or to white supremacists and has renounced their support. But he has repeatedly retweeted posts from white supremacist sites and was slow to repudiate the support of ex-Klan leader David Duke.
