Wasserman Schultz Vows To ‘Find The Bastards’ Behind Anti-Semitic Wave

“I’m incredibly angry,” said Florida Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz as she opened a press conference in her home state Monday. Wasserman Schultz scheduled the event, which focused on battling anti-Semitism, last week, but when she sat down with Jewish leaders to address reporters, news came of another wave of bomb threats aimed at Jewish institutions, including the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie, where her own children went to pre-school years ago.
“I’m here today to channel my anger so that we can make sure that first and foremost we find the bastards, and that we make sure that we don’t rest and there is nowhere that they think they can hide that we won’t hunt them down and find them,” Wasserman Schultz said, according to the Sun Sentinel.
The Jewish lawmaker argued that there is a clear connection between the rise to power of Donald Trump and the surge of anti-Semitic incidents across America.
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence,” she said. “I don’t know what else to attribute it to.” Wasserman Schultz added that Trump’s conduct “opened the floodgates” of anti-Semitism and she argued the president needs to do more to put an end to the phenomena.
