Ivanka Trump Targeted By Breitbart In ‘Blame The Jews’ For Syria Story

The “alt-right” has been casting blame on Jews within the Trump White House for last week’s air strike against Syria.

That narrative seemed to be popular Monday over at Breitbart, which reported the president ordered the strike at the behest of his daughter Ivanka Trump.

Citing a story in Britain’s far-right Daily Express, Breitbart raised the possibility that Ivanka’s moral outrage at the gassing by the Bashar al-Assad government of thousands of civilians might have led her father to act.

It drew on for sources unnamed individuals said to be close to the Trump orbit, as well as tweets that Ivanka Trump sent out after the strike congratulating her father for his decision.

Steve Bannon, the former head of Breitbart News and now a chief strategist for the White House, once bragged that the site was a “platform for the alt-right” – a group of white nationalists, white supremacists and fellow travelers.

Following the air strike in Syria last week, many on the “alt-right” have blamed Jews within the administration, like Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka, for Trump’s move against Assad.

David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and serial failed politician, attributed the action to “Jewish extremism.” Andrew Anglin, editor of the hate-mongering Daily Stormer, said Trump had been “manipulated by Jews.”
