Joint Chiefs Chairman Joseph Dunford Arrives In Israel
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Gen. Joseph Dunford, the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, arrived in Israel for an official visit.
It is Dunford’s third visit to Israel.
Dunford landed in Israel on Monday, where he will be the guest of his Israeli counterpart, the Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt.- Gen Gadi Eizenkot.

Dunford is scheduled to meet with Eizenkot, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and additional IDF commanders, in order to discuss cooperation between the two countries’ armies and mutual challenges, the IDF said in a statement.
On Tuesday, Dunford will be greeted with an official military honor guard at the Kirya, the IDF’s headquarters in Tel Aviv. He is also scheduled to visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and museum, where he will tour the Holocaust History Museum, participate in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, visit the Children’s Memorial, and sign the Yad Vashem Guest Book.
