Abbi Jacobsen Teams Up With WNYC For Newest Venture
Like her character on “Broad City,” Abbi Jacobsen has a passion for art. Unlike her character, Jacobsen is a wildly successful public figure with access to the resources she needs to realize that passion. And she’s wasting no time in doing just that.
Jacobsen is teaming up with WNYC and the Museum of Modern Art to produce her very own podcast about contemporary art. Titled “A Piece of Work” (which, yes, is also the name of the amazing Joan Rivers documentary that everyone should watch), the podcast will, according to a press release, “…explore works of art through different themes as Abbi leads a journey through MoMA.”
And if you’ve ever wondered what famous people like RuPaul and Tavi Gevinson have to say about modern sculpture, wonder no more! They’ll be joining Jacobsen as guests, along with Questlove, Hannibal Burress, and Abbi’s three-year-old niece, whose opinion I just HAVE to get on the new Yayoi Kusama!!!
You can catch the premiere July 10th on WNYC’s website.
