Breitbart Claims ‘Soros Army’ Is Getting Alabama Felons To Vote Against Roy Moore

As the Alabama special senate election approaches, right wing activists are pointing to Jewish Democratic mega donor George Soros as the source of opposition to Republican candidate Roy Moore.
The latest in this effort is a claim by Breitbart News that a group funded by Soros is registering felons to vote. Or, in the words of the Breitbart headline: “Soros Army in Alabama to Register Convicted Felons to Vote Against Roy Moore.”
The Breitbart article focuses on the efforts of a group called the Campaign Legal Center to inform felons who were convicted in charges that do not qualify under the Alabama law as demonstrating “moral turpitude,” about their right to vote. The story makes clear it is Soros’s money behind this effort.
“Besides funding from Soros, the Campaign Legal Center documents that it receives financing from the Soros-funded Tides Foundation and from the Soros-funded Brennan Center for Justice,” the article states.
