Seems Like Ivanka Skipped The Fine Print in Republican Tax Bill

It should have been an easy one.
Ivanka Trump, like other top officials, took to the networks Thursday morning to celebrate the administration’s success in passing tax reform through congress.
But speaking to Fox News from the White House front lawn, Ivanka managed to botch some of the plan’s key details.
“I’m really looking forward to doing a lot of traveling in April when people realize the effect that this has,” she said. “The vast majority will be [doing their taxes] on a single postcard.”
Ivanka Trump may do a lot of traveling in April, but she won’t find many people realizing the effect of the tax reform as they prepare their filings, since the plan approved by Congress will only be reflected in the 2018 taxes, filed in April of 2019.
The vision of filing taxes on single postcard, an early idea of Republicans as they began to write the bill, has long been discarded and tax filings, even after the reform is enacted, will be just as long and complicated as before.
