Belgian police arrested a man on Saturday after he nearly ran down a Jewish family on their way to synagogue, The Daily Mail reported.
The Jewish family, a father and son, dodged behind a road sign as the car narrowly missed them. The man and his son were wearing traditional Hasidic clothing, marking them as observant Jews.
The incident took place in Antwerp.
According to The Daily Mail, Belgian police say the driver may have been drunk. But the father told a Dutch newspaper that he saw the driver driving at him.
