Nadler Asks Mueller To Testify To Congress ‘As Soon As Possible’
House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler issued a request Thursday for special counsel Robert Mueller to testify to Congress “as soon as possible.”
“As I have already communicated to the Department of Justice, I request your testimony before the Judiciary Committee as soon as possible – but, in any event, no later than May 23, 2019,” Nadler wrote. “I look forward to working with you on a mutually agreeable date.”
Mueller’s report will be released on Thursday, but some elements of the nearly 400-page briefing will be redacted – and Nadler and his committee will likely want to ask the special counsel to fill in those gaps.
