The video series “Yiddish Word of the Day,” featuring Forverts editor Rukhl Schaechter teaching Yiddish words and expressions related to a theme, has been a big hit. Launched in April, the 115 installments in the series have been played more than 600,000 times on Facebook and Youtube.

But with 115 videos, the “Yiddish Word of the Day” Youtube playlist collection has become unwieldy. It can take a lot of time to find a particular episode.

To aid those searching for words related to a specific topic, the Swedish Yiddishist Leif Freilich created a spreadsheet with links to all of the episodes on Youtube sorted by their title.

If you’d like to learn the Yiddish words for Tuesday or Wednesday, for instance, you can search for “days of the week” and will be directed to the relevant Youtube link.

The latest installment of “Yiddish Word of the Day” was published on Wednesday and explores Yiddish words like “bokser” (carob), “fayg” (fig) and “teytl” (date), associated with the holiday of Tu BiShvat.
