Floral Arrangements Make Shavuot Memorable
Mount Sinai Memo Board
Good craft glue
16 x 20-inch cork bulletin board
16 x 20-inch piece of AstroTurf (available at hardware stores)
Push pins
12 silk flowers
12 straight pins
-
Spread lots of glue all over the cork surface of the bulletin board and the back of the AstroTurf.
-
Place AstroTurf on bulletin board, pressing down to make it stick. Use push pins, if necessary, to help hold the AstroTurf down while the glue sets.
-
While the glue dries, you can make your flower push pins. Snap a silk flower off its stem. It should pop off easily. Then carefully push a straight pin all the way through the center of the flower. A thimble might make this easier — and safer. Repeat with the rest of the flowers.
-
Use flower pins to secure memos, pictures and to-do lists to the board. Then reward yourself with a piece of cheesecake.
