Israel Bombs Gaza Terrorists Preparing Rocket Launch
Israel’s air force bombed a group of terrorists in Gaza as they prepared to launch a rocket at Israel.
Four Palestinians were wounded in the Friday morning strike on northern Gaza, according to reports. The launcher was also destroyed.
The move comes less than a day after five mortar shells fired from Gaza on Thursday afternoon hit an open area in the Negev, causing no casualties.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers prevented a major terror attack overnight Thursday after identifying a man carrying a bomb along the Egyptian border.
When the soldiers ordered the man to stop early Thursday morning he threw down the sack carrying the 33-pound explosive and disappeared back into Egypt, according to reports, following an IDF announcement Thursday evening.
It is still not known whether the alleged terrorist was a Gaza resident who entered Egypt through a smuggling tunnel or a terrorist operating in the Sinai Peninsula, according to reports.
The bomb was likely meant to be used in Eilat, though it is possible that the bomber was heading toward a major central Israeli city, Israeli security officials told Israel’s Channel 10.
