Staten Island Man Accused of Murdering Parents Arrested in Israel

A New York man accused of stabbing his parents to death is in custody in Israel.

Eric Bellucci, 30, was detained Friday after attempting to buy a ticket to China, Ha’aretz quoted Israeli police as saying.

He was detained after an airline employee alerted police and will be deported to the United States.

Bellucci landed in Israel on Thursday morning after his parents were discovered murdered in their Staten Island, N.Y., home on Wednesday evening.

He is the only suspect in the case, police told the New York Post.

Bellucci is not Jewish and is not an Israeli citizen, the Post reported. The newspaper cited a source as saying that Bellucci has a friend living in Tel Aviv.
