Social Justice Activists Arrested in Tel Aviv
Approximately 100 social justice protesters demonstrated in front of the entrance of Tel Aviv’s City Hall Wednesday in response to the municipality’s attempt to evacuate the tent cities which were established in different neighborhoods in July. 20 protesters were forcefully arrested.
The protesters marched with signs, and threw eggs and flowers at the entrance to the building. Police are currently guarding the area.
Demonstrators also assembled several tents near the entrance to city hall, stated that they would not evacuate the tent cities, and called for Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai to quit.
