Partnership Gives to 27 Jewish Day Schools
The Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education has awarded $625,000 to North American Jewish day schools for implementing initiatives to keep day schools afloat.
Some 127 day schools submitted applications for the $25,000 prizes. Two schools will share two of the prizes, bringing the number to 27 winning schools.
Winning initiatives concentrated on raising annual campaign revenue, endowment and tuition/affordability.
Nearly half the schools, 13, are community or multidenominational. Seven are Orthodox, six are Conservative and one is Reform.
