Rare Snowstorm Bears Down on Jerusalem
Jerusalem is bracing for possible snowfall over the weekend.
Forecasts of up to an inch of snowfall in Jerusalem on Saturday prompted Magen David Adom, the emergency service, to declare a snow alert for Israel’s capital city.
Snow is also anticipated on Mount Hermon and other mountains peaks in the north.
Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing, which is unusual for most areas of Israel.
Heavy rains are expected to fall between Thursday and Monday throughout the country.
