An Israeli soldier was killed in a “fire exchange” in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces announced.
Sgt. Avitar Moshe Torjamin, 20, of Beit Shean, was killed Tuesday morning in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF said in a statement.
At least 27 soldiers have been killed since the start of Israel’s ground operation in Gaza. One soldier remains missing, though he is presumed dead.
