Jason Kander Loses Bid for Missouri Senate Seat
Jason Kander, a fresh-faced Jewish candidate, lost in a hard-fought race for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat.
Kander, who ran as anti-establishment moderate, lost by about a 3% margin to incumbent Republican Roy Blunt.
The race was rated a toss-up but Donald Trump’s sweeping victory in the Show Me State by nearly 20% made the race much tougher for Kander.
In the governor’s race, Republican Eric Greitens, who is Jewish, eased to victory.
