Should British Serial Killer’s Victims Be Moved to Jewish Cemetery — 70 Years Later?

Almost seven decades after his sister and niece were murdered by a notorious serial killer, Peter Mylton-Thorley is requesting their bodies be exhumed and moved to a Jewish cemetery — where he, too, will lie once he dies.
“I haven’t got long left. All I want is to be buried with my sister. It would be wonderful to have that closure,” the 82-year-old told Britain’s Daily Mail. The bodies currently rest in the Catholic section of a West London potter’s field, despite the fact that both were Jews.
His sister Beryl Evans and niece Geraldine Evans were murdered in 1949 by John Christie, who murdered at least eight women in the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. After their deaths, the case took a further tragic turn, as the crime was pinned on Beryl Evans’ husband Timothy, who was executed in 1950. The real killer was later discovered and executed in 1953, his life story later becoming fodder for a BBC television series.
