Oct. 7: One Year Later
On Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking more than 200 to Gaza, where at least 100 remain as hostages. The Israel-Hamas war in Gaza has since killed at least 41,000 Palestinians and sparked regional fighting with Iran and its proxies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon.
