More than month after the murder of two Jewish retirees from Toronto in their Florida townhouse, police have released a video recording that could shed some light on the mysterious slayings.

Hallandale Beach police have been particularly tight-lipped about the January 10 murder of David Pichosky, 71, and Rochelle Wise, 66, who live in Toronto but spend the winters in Florida. Neither the police nor the medical examiner has revealed the cause of death in either of the killings.

Today police released grainy video of a woman walking around the couple’s home the day before the couple’s bodies were discovered. In the recording, which was captured by a neighbor’s security camera, the woman is carrying something while walking towards the back of the house. Later, she returns with nothing in her hand.

Police are asking residents to contact them if they have any information about the woman. The department has offered a reward of up to $1,000.

A neighbor found Pichosky and Wise dead on January 10. The neighbor entered the home using a copy of the couple’s keys after the two missed a lunch date.

Wise and Pichosky were buried in Toronto, where they live half the year, on January 14. Florida police visited Toronto in the course of their investigation in early February.

Venetian Park, where the couple lived, is a development of two-story condominiums on a small island in the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Ft. Lauderdale. Roads leading on to the island are guarded with security checkpoints, but the checkpoints are situated on public roads and allow all traffic through.
