“During the six years Bradd was in town, my wife grew close to her faith and had her bat mitzvah at the age of 50. Bradd taught her and presided at the event. I couldn’t be more proud. There is another way he made a difference. I am a practicing attorney with a full-time job. In 1996, Bradd asked me to teach Hebrew school. Because he was my friend, I took the job. Then my teaching “took off.” I now teach four days a week at two Reform synagogues in Westchester and I am the youth advisor at one of them. In 2008 I won a national teaching award. I love teaching, and I owe it all to Rabbi Boxman. I still practice law, but he has changed my life for the better, just as he changed my wife’s life.”
