Israeli Soldiers Clash with Outpost Settlers in West Bank

Some 200 settlers clashed with Israeli security forces attempting to evacuate the West Bank outpost of Oz Zion.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the settlers threw stones at security forces, who eventually abandoned the evacuation attempt near the Beit El settlement on Friday, prior to the start of the Sabbath.

The news site NRG reported that five Border Guard officers sustained minor injuries in the scuffle.

Tzipi Livni, who heads the center-left Hatnua party, said the Likud and the Jewish Home party were partially to blame.

“The extreme-Right, which has taken control of Likud and Bayit Hayehudi is clashing with IDF soldiers, doing as it pleases in the territories and forcing the IDF and the police to deal with this instead of security,” Livni said.

This is a moment of great uncertainty. Here’s what you can do about it.
