Jake Tapper Points Out Hypocrisy Behind Ivanka’s Sympathy For Syrians
Jake Tapper, the fire-spitting CNN reporter and anchor, directed his ire over the weekend at Ivanka Trump, asking the first daughter to square her father’s decision to launch an airstrike on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s air force while refusing to welcome refugees.
@IvankaTrump How do you feel about his proposed ban on Syrian refugees from entering the US? Do you see any disconnect there at all? Thanks

The president’s decision to go after an Assad airbase comes on the heels of the regime’s use of chemical weapons against thousands of civilians.
Even as the decision won backing from some regular opponents of the White House, others said the administration was hypocritical to invoke human rights as a rationale for the bombing, while expressing a reluctance to admit Syrian refugees.
Under the terms of the administration’s “Muslim ban” – now held up in court – resettlement to the United States of refugees from Syria was to be put on indefinite hold, while citizens from five other Muslim countries would not be allowed to visit or immigrate to the United States for a period of several months.
