Jon Ossoff Hits Back At Trump As Do-Or-Die Election Arrives

Democrat Jon Ossoff hit back at President Trump on the eve of a crucial special congressional election in Georgia.

“I don’t have great personal admiration for the man,” the Jewish candidate told MSNBC, according to [Politico](http://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/georgia-ossoff-special-election-237307].

The 30-year-old newcomer is seeking to snatch away a red seat in suburban Atlanta — and is seeking to run on a fiercely anti-Trump platform.

Ossoff said he hoped Trump might act presidential and try to unite the country after the divisive 2016 vote. But he said The Donald has shown little sign that he intends to be a president for all Americans.

“It was one of the most divisive and destructive presidential races in U.S. history, and I think that many have been hoping that the president will heal some of those wounds, show good faith and a more inclusive approach to governance,” Ossoff said. “So far, I don’t think he’s allayed those concerns among those who believe that that divisive approach to government is not recognized.”

Trump earlier Tweeted an attack on Ossoff, calling him a “super Liberal” and seeking to rally Republicans in the fast-changing district that narrowly backed him over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
