There’s a Steven Spielberg Documentary Coming To HBO
Steven Spielberg has been the brains behind scads of late 20th century classic movies — it was only a matter of time before a film that puts him at the center of the screen rather than behind it.
Director Susan Lacy is releasing an HBO documentary about the legendary director in which she interviewed dozens of his friends and family members – among whom there are plenty of household names. Drew Barrymore, Daniel Day-Lewis, Harrison Ford, and Francis Ford Coppola are only a smattering of the celebs that Lacy has interviewed. The documentary will touch on the trauma that Spielberg experienced on the set of his breakthrough film “Jaws”, his bittersweet childhood, and his historic career.
Spielberg counts among his many successes “E.T.”, “Jurassic Park”, and, more recently, “Bridge of Spies.”
The film will be released on October 7th.
