Jared Kushner Is Even Less Popular Than His Unpopular Father-In-Law. Why?
As the Trump administration limps to the six-month mark, President Trump has fallen to historic lows in the polls. But Jared Kushner is doing even worse.
According to a Morning Cosult poll out Wednesday, only 22% of Americans approve of him and 36% disapprove. That’s significantly worse than wife Ivanka Trump – who garners 44% approval and 38% disapproval – and First Lady Melania Trump.
Why are people hating on Jared? He’s been in trouble with the Russia scandal, as questions emerge about whether he disclosed all foreign contacts while applying for a security clearance. Add in his lack of public profile – we hardly even hear the guy talk.
But could some of it also be anti-Semitism? It’s possible. Many of the “alt-right” folks who love the president dislike Jews, and Kushner has suffered a barrage of anti-Semitic attacks. The Anti-Defamation League has produced a report on trolling directed especially at Kushner, seen as a threat to a “populist-nationalist” agenda championed by the likes of Steve Bannon.
