Mooch Says Trump Should Dump Bannon

Anthony Scaramucci might have left the White House after a short and troubled tenure, but that’s not stopping him from telling President Trump to fire Steve Bannon.

“If it was up to me, he would be gone,” said Scaramucci, also known as the “Mooch,” on Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” on CBS. “But it’s not up to me,” he added.

Scaramucci served as White House communications directors for little more than a week, and was canned after an expletive-filled rant against other Trump advisers, including Bannon.

In that chat with the New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza, Scaramucci said that Bannon was self-obsessed, making that point by describing the senior adviser as performing a sex act on himself.

Bannon has faced renewed calls for his ouster from the administration. He’s been at odds with the institutional wing of the White House helmed by moderates like Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

Meanwhile, a campaign that Breitbart News, Bannon’s former perch, has waged against national security adviser H.R. McMaster has seemed to backfire on Bannon.
