Nadler Announces Plan To Censure Trump Over Racist Comments

Congressman Jerry Nadler announced plans Friday to introduce a House resolution censuring President Donald Trump for his reported comments calling African nations a “shithole.”
In a joint statement Friday afternoon, Nadler and Congressman Cedric Richmond said that they would introduce the resolution next week.
“These remarks have compelled us to prepare a resolution of censure with our colleagues next week, to condemn President Trump for his racist statements,” the two congressmen wrote. “This censure resolution is important because America is a beacon of hope. We have to show the world that this president does not represent the real feelings of most of the American people which is part of the reason why he lost the popular vote.
Nadler, who represents more Jews than any other member of the House, was recently appointed to the top Democratic spot on the House Judiciary Committee, following the resignation of Congressman John Conyers.
