CLARIFIED: Fraternity At Florida School Probed In Student Injury

The Florida State University chapter of Jewish fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi is reportedly under investigation after a student was injured in an incident at its house.
The student suffered a fractured skull last April during a gathering at the fraternity’s house in Heritage Grove Circle in Tallahassee, FSUNews reported, citing police.
In January, the fraternity was suspended for violating FSU’s policy on banning Greek activities and hazing. Later, the chapter was reinstated after a rehearing.
The university had received anonymous reports that faternity pledges go through a “humiliating” six-week long process. Alpha Epsilon Pi was held responsible for underage women being hospitalized for alcohol intoxication in September and October of 2017.
Greek organizations were under scrutiny at Florida State after the unrelated death of 20-year-old student Andrew Coffey at a different fraternity.
