Michael Cohen: Trump Said ‘Black People Are Too Stupid To Vote For Me’

President Trump repeatedly used racist language before he became president, his former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen told Vanity Fair.
Cohen said he’s heard the president make several racist comments over the years. He brought up the time he mentioned to Trump that the crowd at one of his 2016 campaign rallies was largely white.
“That’s because black people are too stupid to vote for me,” Cohen recalls Trump answering.
Another time, while driving through what appeared to be a “rougher neighborhood” in Chicago in the late 2000s, Cohen said, “Trump made a comment to me, saying that only the blacks could live like this.”
And, when it came to his show “The Apprentice,” Trump allegedly said African-American investor Kwame Jackson because wouldn’t be victorious because “There’s no way I can let this black f—-ing win.”
Cohen told Vanity Fair that he thought being in office would change his former boss. But now, he said he wanted to share with readers Trump’s true character, which Cohen said is worse behind the scenes.
Cohen, who once said he’d take a bullet for Trump, pleaded guilty in August to violating tax and campaign finance laws by paying porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her story about an affair with Trump private. Cohen said he made the payments at Trump’s direction.
Cohen re-registered as a Democrat last month.
