GOP Rep. Gaetz, Circulator Of Soros Conspiracy Theories, Wins Florida Seat
GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz, known for peddling a conspiracy theory about billionaire liberal George Soros, held his House seat in Florida’s 1st Congressional District.
The Republican incumbent held a steady lead over Jennifer Zimmerman, with nearly 67% of the vote.
Gaetz said last month on Fox News that he has “reason to believe” Soros, who is Jewish, is funding the caravan of migrants traveling from Mexico to the United States seeking asylum, CNN reported.
And one of the attendees at a Gaetz fundraiser over the summer was “alt-right” activist Charles C. Johnson, who wrote online last year that he did not believe six million Jews died in the Holocaust.
