Pious Playmates
Look out, Barbie! Gali Girls just released a new line of Jewish dolls decked out in full-length denim skirts, complete with a wooden toy Sabbath kit, a Hebrew/English-name birth certificate, and matching Star of David bracelets for doll and owner.
These little frum girls have hair that is either curly or straight, in blond, brown or red. The original Gali Girls, released in 2004, were available with Ashkenazic features only, but the latest line includes a Sephardic doll with darker skin and black hair.
$65-$90; www.galigirls.com or at Judaica bookstores.
