Ohio Looking Very, Very Red: While several election battles are waging in Ohio, the fight appears to be over for one Democrat: Senatorial candidate Lee Fisher, the state’s Jewish lieutenant governor. Even after boosts from actors Matthew Morrison and Martin Sheen, Fisher turned over his small lump of $100,000 in campaign cash over to the Democratic party. Fisher maintains this doesn’t mean he’s quitting. Polls show Republican opponent Rob Portman a good 17 points ahead. (Talking Points Memo)

Drama in Florida: The race for Florida’s senate seat has been split three ways, ever since Governor Charlie Crist reentered the race as an independent candidate. Democrat Kendrick Meek has been trailing both Crist and Republican Marco Rubio in the polls. Bill Clinton recently asked Meek to quit the race and endorse Crist. Meek appeared to be supportive of the idea, but then denied his withdrawal to the press. (Politico)

Ad Alert: The candidates for Illinois’ senate race are still swinging away. Republican Mark Kirk has delivered yet another negative ad, wielding his military record against Democrat Alexi Giannoulias, saying his opponent’s swipes at Kirk’s patriotism are called “reckless” and “immature” by the Chicago tribune. The ad then notes that Kirk served in the military for 21 years, whereas “Alexi” did not serve one day. The final line: “Giannoulias: Too liberal. Too immature to be our senator.” We look forward to seeing the rebuttal! (YouTube via Politico)

Pro …. Sestak: Long after endorsing Pennsylvania Democratic senatorial candidate Joe Sestak in the primaries, NARAL is making a final push on his behalf. The pro-choice group attacks Republican opponent Pat Toomey with a widely-circulated mailer, saying that were he to win the race, “doctors who should be on a hospital floor would be in a cell block instead.” (NARAL (PDF))
