Jihadist Group Discussed Targeting Jews in Belgium
Terror suspects arrested in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany discussed targeting Jews in Belgium, Belgium federal prosecutors said.
The 11 people arrested early Tuesday morning were allegedly part of an international jihadist group planning a terrorist attack in Belgium. No specific target was identified, according to reports. The group was using a jihadist website to plan the attack.
The arrests came after several months of undercover investigation, Belgium police said.
In addition to Jews in Belgium, NATO vehicles in the country were also a target, CNN reported, citing a senior European counter-terrorism official.
