Israeli Soldier Stabbed in Neck Near Hebron

An Israeli soldier is in serious condition after a stabbing attack near the West Bank city of Hebron.

The victim, 19, was stabbed several times, including in the neck, according to reports.

The attack occurred Monday morning near the entrance to the Palestinian village of Beit Anun on the main West Bank road Route 60.

The attacker was shot and killed by IDF troops at the scene of the stabbing, according to police. He was identified by the Palestinian Maan news agency as Raed Saket Abdul-Rahim Jaradat, 22, from the town of Sair. He was reportedly a student at Al-Quds University.
