The Jewish community has good reason to be disappointed by President Obama awarding the presidential medal of freedom to Mary Robinson. But our communal response to the award has unfortunately done more harm than good.
Robinson, a former president of Ireland, forfeited any claim to accolades by presiding over the 2001 Durban World Conference Against Racism — a public spectacle of virulent antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment. Her after-the-fact denunciation of its excesses cannot be seen as anything other than either an effort at rehabilitating the unsalvageable or, more charitably, shock at what happened on her watch.
Her response to Jewish criticism of her record is even more unsettling. She has described the criticism as “a lot of bullying by certain elements” of the Jewish community. “They bully people who try to address the severe situation in Gaza and the West Bank,” she said. But criticizing a public official is not “bullying.” Robinson, dedicated defender of human rights that she is, should be able to recognize the difference.
Perhaps those within the Obama administration who wanted to honor Robinson were focused on her overall career in support of human rights. Maybe the decision to honor Robinson was just bad vetting. But it also sent the unfortunate message — whether intended or not — that the administration is not particularly troubled by the anti-Israel excesses of the U.N. Human Rights Council, which Robinson supervised as U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights.
It is therefore understandable that many Jewish groups reacted instinctively, negatively and publicly to the announcement of the honor for Robinson. But there remains the question of whether it was wise for the Jewish community to pick a public fight with the administration on this issue. The answer is that it was not.
Robinson’s award, which she received at an August 12 ceremony honoring her and 15 other individuals, does not change a thing on the ground in the Middle East. And it was self-delusion to expect that the president would back away from the award under criticism from pro-Israel groups.
Certainly, it was incumbent upon Israel’s supporters to clearly, but privately, let the administration know that honoring Robinson fueled doubts over its commitment to Israel’s security. It was neither prudent nor productive, however, to pick a public fight with no chance of success over a purely symbolic matter. Moreover, the near-immediate Jewish attack on Robinson’s award — with little acknowledgement of the useful things she has done — lent credibility to the charge that Israel’s supporters brook no criticism at all of the Jewish state.
There will be real fights ahead on the Middle East. Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League has correctly called out the Obama administration for placing the burden of peacemaking on Israel. The Obama administration’s decision to put the settlement issue at the heart of the peace process — as if no other impediments existed — and the clumsy way it disavowed the understanding that Israel had reached with the Bush administration over settlements are both deeply troubling.
In contrast, the award for Robinson was not one of the battles that Jewish organizations had to fight. The Jewish community should have saved its political capital for more important matters.
There is a temptation in some segments of the Jewish community to vigorously challenge any perceived erosion, even on a purely symbolic level, of America’s commitment to Israel. There is the mirror-image temptation, evident in much of the American Jewish left — which always wants to demonstrate its own high-minded commitment to peace — to reflexively applaud anything the administration does and to automatically dismiss criticism of its actions as being motivated by partisanship.
Neither of these temptations should be indulged. Vigor for the sake of vigor and partisan defenses of an administration without regard to merit do equal disservice to Israel’s security, to the cause of peace and to rational discourse on the Middle East.

This whole mess is more about partisan politics than anything else. The Administration got careless and the Republicans were looking for an excuse to give them a well-deserved black eye.
An interesting tactical observation. However, I do not think the issue garnered that much public attention, and the tactic serves the purpose of helping to awaken pro-Israel Jews, Democrats who voted for Obama, to the ugly truth. More importantly, the author seems to recognize that truth that dare not be published: Obama's is the most anti-Israel administration in history. And if the "American Jewish left" is meant to include the likes of George Soros' J Street (which has been adopted by Obama's tacticians as its foil against American Jewish support for Israel, and is supported by the likes of the "Jewish" Forward), then the author's criticism is far too mild. Those virulent anti-Israel leftists are the enemies of Israel and the Jewish people. These anti-Israel extremists also need to be recognized for what they are.
I have to agree with Mary Robinson's sentiments on 'bullying' from certain groups within the Israeli family. A bully never perceives himself as such. However sensitive individuals often mistake criticism for bullying (as you say). In Robinson's case, it looks to me as if there was a co-ordinated effort to trip her up on her way to receive an award for the totality of her human right's work. She passed by the feet of many nations on her way to the ceremony at the White House, but only Israel stuck a foot out. If the ceremony had been about her work in the middle east I could sympathise, but it wasn't. It was about a life's work and these groups tried to make it about Israel alone.
Yes, Niall, we know "our Mary" is Ireland's secular saint. But you can't erase the fact that part of her life's work was Durban. It's not bullying to point that out. It's honesty. Too bad she completely lacks shame and believes all the fawning press she receives in her own country. It's incredible to me that she even pretends to be mystified at the reaction the Medal of Freedom provoked. Someone who can't even recognise the damage done to the concept of human rights at Durban does not deserve praise, let alone the USA's highest civilian honour.
Statement of seven important Israeli Human Rights NGOs supporting the choice of Mary Robinson for PMF award:
President Barack Obama The White House Washington, DC August 10, 2009 Dear Mr. President:
We, the directors and senior staff of the undersigned Israeli human rights organizations, would like to publicly support your choice of Mrs. Mary Robinson to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom award. Mrs. Robinson deserves this honor for a lifetime of unflagging support to the cause of human rights in its many dimensions.
We are greatly saddened by the media furor that has been generated by statements from AIPAC and the ADL, who have referred to Mrs. Robinson’s “long public record of hostility and one-sided bias against the Jewish state,” and “animus” towards Israel, respectively. These statements contain factual errors and are misleading, particularly with regard to the Durban anti-racism conference. Such rhetoric distracts attention from the real issues that need to be addressed to foster peace and security for Israel and its neighbors.
As leaders of a sector within Israeli civil society that monitors and often criticizes government and military policy for violating human rights, we do not see such actions as plausible reason for denying Mrs. Robinson the award. We believe that holding Israel accountable to its obligations under international law is part of the role of the international community through agencies like the United Nations and others.
Furthermore, we had the opportunity to meet with Mary Robinson and her staff when she visited Israel in 2008 as head of a delegation of eminent women leaders. We saw firsthand her genuine commitment to human rights principles. During her 2008 visit, we understand that Mrs. Robinson met with a broad spectrum of Israelis including officials like Mayor of Sderot Eli Moyal, Israeli Supreme Court Chief Justice Dorit Beinisch, as well as members of the Peace and Security Council, a group of retired senior military officials who provide expert opinions on security matters, and with human rights activists.
We urge those who voice this unwarranted criticism to turn their attention to finding constructive solutions to the challenges that stand in the way of peace and acknowledge Mary Robinson – who has worked diligently for the promotion of human rights and conflict resolution – as the deserving recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
With sincere thanks,

For those on this list who want to use the Mary Robinson event as a chance to bash the President, I say, as a Jew and a Zionist, that thank G-d we have a President again who cares enough about the welfare of the Jewish state of Israel that he is willing to use political capital to work for a peaceful solution to the "situation" between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
The statement put out by the World Jewish Congress illustrates the fiasco of the Robinson 'award.'
'We are deeply troubled that the White House has chosen to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson, former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. During her tenure, she presided over the World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa in 2001, which deteriorated from a conference intended to combat racism into a platform for demonstrations of hostility to Israel and the Jewish people unprecedented in an event convened by the international body. At that time, Ms. Robinson could have done much to prevent the debacle but instead chose to legitimize it. The United States boycotted Durban in 2001 over the events that transpired there and the final outcome document that equated Zionism with racism. Indeed, the Durban final outcome document was re-affirmed at the Durban Review Conference held in Geneva in April 2009, which was not attended by the United States precisely because of the affirmation of this document.
Ms. Robinson’s tenure at the UNCHR featured much anti-Israel activity, including distorted condemnatory reports and statements, an endorsement of Palestinian violence as legitimate political activity, and the outrageous equating of the Holocaust to the suffering of the Palestinians. We believe that her performance in the UNCHR renders her unqualified to receive the nation’s highest civilian honor.'
ADL and AIPAC don't represent what Jews believe in.
B'Tselem represents what Jews believe in.
Marc Paige writes: For those on this list who want to use the Mary Robinson event as a chance to bash the President, I say, as a Jew and a Zionist, that thank G-d we have a President again who cares enough about the welfare of the Jewish state of Israel that he is willing to use political capital to work for a peaceful solution to the "situation" between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Not sure how honoring the architect of Durban, which ignored vile human rights violations by rapists and tyrants to demonize Israel, gets us towards peace. Nor does ignoring the fact that Israel has offered time and time again to give Palestinians everything their leaders ask for - short of destruction of the Jewish state. Just a few months ago, Ehud Olmert offered and Mahmoud Abbas said, "Never."
Norman says that B'Tselem represents what Jews believe in. The vast majority of Israeli Jews and Jews worldwide reject B'Tselem and the falsehoods it propogates. Not just B'Tselem but the other alleged human rights organizations that spend their time bashing Israel for being imperfect even though it takes real steps for peace and gloss over and indulge Israel's enemies whose human rights behavior continues to be among the worst in the world today.
The honoring of Mary Robinson was worth protesting. It adds an asterisk to her award. She didn't just stand by and watch Israel be demonized. She arranged it, supported it, and defended it. Worse, as the Washington Post has pointed out, she has done nothing to advance human rights in the world. She missed a big chance at Durban. Sure, she wags her finger and makes pronouncements. Human rights abusers and tyrants laugh.
Most importantly, protesting the award to Mary Robinson, a woman far less accomplished than most others who have received the award - even if you think Durban was a good thing - has the effect of defending Israel from the false allegations of Durban and the continuing defamation by the organized "human rights" groups (many of whom, like Human Rights Watch, are funded by tyrants and human rights abusers.)
The demonization of Israel by self-proclaimed human rights supporters like Mary Robinson is no trivial matter. Jews who support human rights need to tell the difference between a nation (Israel) that takes protection of human rights seriously and those (like Iran, Syria, Fatah, Hamas, Hizbullah) that don't. Attacking the former and excusing the latter, will be bad not only for Jews who think Jews deserve their own state just like all other peoples do, but also bad for Jews who think they can escape Jew-hatred by sympathizing with Jew-haters, and also bad for all those whom the real human rights abusers come after once they've taken care of the Jews. "First they came for the Jews . . ."
I can understand Jew-hatred from those who read, e.g., the Swedish paper, and think the blood libels are true. I don't understand Jews who don't take the time to learn the truth.
Please, please, The "Jewish" Daily Forward, don't worry that Jewish displeasure with Obama's choice of honorees. If Mary Robinson is Obama's choice, then real Jews should and did scream their disapproval. For those still-timid Jewish-Americans, the 1940s Jews were also afraid to upset their idol, FDR. Look what it got us.
Here's a good report on Durban by a Jew who was actually there.
http://www.muzzlewatch.com/category/durban-ii/
Here's another one:
http://www.rabble.ca/news/2009/05/after-geneva-overcoming-smearjob-un-anti-racism-process
In 2001, the United Nations convened the World Conference Against Racism (WCAR) in Durban, South Africa, to deal with a range of issues related to racism and its legacies, including the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, the appropriation of the land and resources of the world’s indigenous peoples, and the human rights of the Palestinians.
The government of Israel responded to the anti-Semitic actions of a few marginal NGOs which participated in Durban by branding the entire WCAR – widely seen as a high water mark in the international battle against racism – as an anti-Semitic ‘hatefest.’ This became the pretext for Israel and its allies to walk out of the conference in an attempt to prevent Israel’s behaviour vis-à-vis the Palestinians as well as other vitally important matters from being addressed.
LB, how can you say that the human rights organizations gloss over and indulge Israel's enemies? The facts are clearly otherwise.
Have you ever looked at the web site of Human Rights Watch http://www.hrw.org/ Amnesty International http://www.amnesty.org/ or B'Tselem http://www.btselem.org/English/index.asp and seen yourself whether they criticize Israel's enemies? Obviously not.
The only response to you is, "Look at the facts." Look at their web sites and see for yourself.
For example, this is from a recent Human Rights Watch report:
http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2009/08/14/false-allegations-about-human-rights-watch-s-latest-gaza-report
Hamas is responsible for numerous and widespread human rights abuses in Gaza, but many Palestinians criticize Hamas practices during interviews with Human Rights Watch, most recently in our August 6 report on Qassam rocket attacks on Israel and our April 20 report on Hamas political violence. As Regev noted in an interview with Al-Jazeera, "It was Human Rights Watch that reported that Hamas members go around shooting in the kneecaps people who speak out of turn." This information, as the report noted, came from Palestinian witnesses in Gaza.
The Silence of the Jewish Lambs
The presidents of Jewish organizations in the United States were craven accomplices to the Holocaust. They refused to support imperiled Jews abroad because doing so would have created controversy at home. As six million of their brethren were being slaughtered, American Jews recoiled into the fetal position. Six decades later, the current American Jewish hierarchy has just visited the White House to demonstrate that while the names may have changed, the cowardice remains.
Jewish leaders in America know that supporting Israel requires opposing Barack Obama, which as Hillary Clinton and John McCain learned means being marginalized as racists. It is a price these invertebrates are unwilling to pay. The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee and Hadassah were therefore silently complicit when Obama permitted Turkey to supply the Hezbollah-dominated Lebanese military with weapons that will kill Israeli Jews.
There was additional silence from the National Council Of Jewish Women and the Union For Reform Judaism and the National Jewish Democratic Council when Obama granted to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip $900 million that will finance the murders of countless other Israeli Jews.
There has also been stony silence from the Orthodox Union and the United Jewish Communities and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs following Obama's decisions to deprive Israel of the fighter jets and attack helicopters necessary to fend off the Nazi-esque terrorist groups that he is subsidizing.
The silence of the American Jewish lambs has been deafening as Obama insists that Israel must not prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons designed to eradicate Zionism.
Obama has treated Israel the way any rational person would expect Israel to be treated by a guy who spent twenty years attending an anti-Semitic church. Meanwhile, the American Jewish community has been afflicted with a severe case of moral laryngitis. Even the American Israel Public Affairs Committee has lost its voice. The group, which Internet liberals constantly identify as being the driving force behind a diabolical Hebrew conspiracy, steadfastly refuses to challenge Obama's irrational hostility towards the Jewish state.
For months, there have been leaks to the media claiming that the leaders of America's major Jewish organizations are “privately distressed” about Obama's relentless anti-Israel jihad. These are the self-serving whispers of Machiavellian poltroons. When Jewish leaders were presented the golden opportunity to challenge Obama on July 13, they responded by delivering the most submissive White House performance since the days of Monica Lewinsky.
Fairness dictates noting that two of the fifteen leaders in attendance did take an unyielding stance. Debra DeLee of Americans For Peace Now and Jeremy Ben-Ami of J Street acted as powerful advocates for the Palestinian murderers they so love. In the ongoing conflict featuring Israel and Hamas, these progressive Jewish leaders have declared “neutrality”. Yet theirs is the liberal form of neutrality, which consists of demanding that Israel capitulate to genocidal anti-Semites.
Following the meeting, Ben-Ami gloated that the Zionist Entity would soon learn the futility of requesting American Jewish support against Obama's predations. It seems unlikely that Israel would ever count on American Jews for anything. Israelis know that when the time arrived to make the pressure-packed decision between saving European Jewry from annihilation or worshiping Franklin Roosevelt, American Jews choked.
Now, they are choking again.
The communists had useful idiots, people who lacked the common sense to perceive they were supporting a cause that despised them. The Jewish community has provided Obama with useful eunuchs who lack the testicular fortitude to oppose a president practicing the "even-handed" approach between the Jews and the Jew killers.
The president whom Jewish leaders abjectly adore refuses to meet an Israeli foreign minister who doesn't like Arabs, but Obama warmly embraces a Holocaust-denying Palestinian president who financed the massacre of Jewish athletes. Obama's wrath is directed not against Islamic terrorists but Jewish carpenters. He is a grotesque bigot who should be publicly confronted and thoroughly humiliated.
Instead, American Jews compete to see who can be his most prostrate sycophant.
As a result, Israeli Jews find themselves going back to the future...specifically 1939. Reviled by the world, not for what they do but for who they are. Threatened with annihilation by implacable anti-Semites. Abandoned by an American president disdainful of their plight.
And cursed with fellow religionists who embrace the adage that a bowed head is never severed. Had John F. Kennedy's Pulitzer-Prize-winning book been about the American Jewish community, it most definitely would not have been titled “Profiles In Courage.”
The test of Egyptian wisdom is to discern what G-D of Host intends against Egypt read Isaiah 19:12. But of course the Egyptian princes have no clue, so encased are they in their own ideology. As a result of the failure of the wisdom to govern, egypt is rendered weak, ineffective, helpless, and finally self-destructive. The princes are like drunks....Isaiah 19:14. All of them everyone of them, are helpless and impotent Isaiah 19:15. There is no hope,no one can save them. looks like...a ...march of folly.
Why because G-D is at work to mulify in every zone of imperial existence. Remember, G-D is in control, not man, nothing man can do is without the will of G-D in it. G-D is the G-D of All Mankind, we are the work of His hands. G-D will bring about mankind to see and accept Him as the One True G-D of All That Is----it will be His way. For it is written. Isaiah 63:9....In all their distress He too was distressed, and the angel of His presence saved them. Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting G-D the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.
Egyptian history and politics are a part of G-D'S large enterprise. Other "plans" cannot succed against the purposes of G-D. Isaiah 19:3...The spriit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out, and I will confound their plans;
Men have in themselves no understanding or judgment, for whence comes wisdom but from the Spirit of G-D, who is the fountain of light, understanding , and truth? now, if the lORD withhold His Spirit from us, what right have we to dispute with Him? he is under no oblighations to us, and all that He bestrows is actually a free gift.
Read....Isaiah The prophet anticipates that not only the Jewiah diaspora but the Egyptians will embrace The One True G-D of All Mankind.
It had been promised that Egypt would come "into the hand of a hard master," in Isaiah, presumably Assyria verse 4 of chapter 19 of Isaiah. Now it is expected that Egyptians will "cry out" under their oppression and be heard by G-D read Isaiah 19 verse 20.
It replicates the ancient Exodus narrative. Israel in Eygpt has been recruited into "hard service" Exodus 1:14, has "cried out" and has been recued by G-D. read Exod. 2:23-25. By the end of the Exodus, the cry of the slaves has been transferred to the Egyptians. read Exod. 12:30 and 11:6. now in the cry to Egypt sounds just, like the cry of the -----ancient Hebrew slaves, think----perhaps and Egyptian cry continued since Exodus 12:30.
All people in ippression cry out. It is written in the book of Isaiah that G-D of All Mankind, will hear and respond. read Isaiah 19:20. G-D will do for Egypt what G-D has done for Israel.
G-D may and will do the same for other peoples who cry out, and now extraodinarily, even for Egypt Amos 9:7. The G-D of All Mankind, is the G-D who listens not only to the lamentations of the people but also to those addressed to Him by other nations. read chapters in Isaiah 13&39. and 101.
All you nations ....take heed what is written....Exod. 15:26 " If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your G-D...and give heed to his commandments....I will nto bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you.
G-D is in control...."returned to the LORD." This is indeed, "the healing of the nations." read Isaiah 19:23 On that day there will be a hightway from Egypt to Assiyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. 19:24 On that day israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 19:25 whom the LORD of host has blessed, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my heritage."
Our hope is in no other, but the G-D of All Mankind, for it is written ....Jeremiah 32: "I am the LORD, the G-D of All Mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?"
Heed this....curse a Jew and G-D will curse you, Bless a Jew and G-D will bless you. for it is written.
Who do you say a Jew is? Are you a True Jew? A true Jew is one that puts sin out of their lives. The first time one was called a Jew, was by G-D HIMSELF. A name to given a holy people, that were to be G-D'S first born. A nation of holy priest. It should sadden the world, that the face of G-D has turned, due to sin.
G-D does not lie, .......make note of this.....you who hate Jews, .....Jeremiah 31 .....Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
For it is written.....Psalm 51:6 Behold, Thou desirest Truth in the inward parts (heart and mind): and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know Wisdom.
This is the desire of G-D for All of Mandkind. For it is written....Jeremiah 32:27 "I am the LORD, the G-D of All Mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?"
Jeremiah 32:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days (days in all our life time) saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts; and will be their G-D, and they shall be my people. Who has G-D seeded you with Israel or Judah? Is the desire of G-D bruning in our hearts and minds? Who does G-D call when He calls you? You who curse Jew?
We all should seal G-D upon our hearts and minds, we are all the works of His hands, we have all sinned, and one sin lead to death of all mankind.
One sin is not greater than another, so who do we think we are.
G-D has cryed tears that have fallen do deep within His heart, over the sins of mankind all over the world. Let us be the generation that wipes away G-D'S tears, let us turn, and become G-D Most High holy children from every nation,
Psalm 52:9 I will praise You forever for what You have done; in Your name I will hope, for Your name is good. I will praise You in the presence of Your holy children. Psalm 80: Restore us, O G-D of Host; Cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Iran is up to "weapon design" stage US, Israel and four other governments are urgently discussing the release of intelligence that Iran is running covert military nuclear projects parallel to its civilian program after Mohammed ElBaradei, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, withheld this data from his last report, DEBKAfile's military and intelligence sources disclose.
The four governments are Britain, France, Netherlands and Japan. All six had provided ElBaradei with new and detailed information on the advances made by Iran in its race to develop a nuclear bomb for inclusion in his last report on Aug. 28 before he retires next month. But ElBaradei, true to his usual custom of blurring Iran's breaches, omitted the new evidence.
In Paragraphs 18 to 20 of his report, he admits to possessing substantial intelligence but regrets he is unable to use it to confront Iran without betraying his sources and so Iran was not able to fully answer IAEA queries.
US and Israeli sources denounce this evasion as a diplomatic scandal verging on fraud.
The material passed to him left no doubt that Iran was engaged in developing a nuclear weapon and revealed for the first time that it reached the final stages, weapon design, of the process. But ElBaradei decided to keep it hidden on the pretext of not exposing sources.
One official told DEBKAfile that passing the new information to the IAEA director had compromised its sources anyway so there was no point in holding it back any longer.
The seven governments concerned will decide very soon which parts of this unpublished information to air. According to our sources, it will not be attributed directly to any government but to "Iranian exiles" who will present it as coming from inside Iran.
This tactic was employed in 2004, when the opposition Mojaheddin al-Khalq leaders first broke the news of Iran's uranium enrichment plant in Natanz at press conferences in Washington and Paris.
The Israeli foreign ministry denounced the ElBaradei report, released ahead of the nuclear watchdog's regular annual meeting in Vienna on Sept. 7, for omitting "to detail Iran's efforts to obtain nuclear arms or its continued attempts to deceive and conceal those efforts. Neither did it mention Tehran's refusal to cooperate with the IAEA and the international community."
Next month, when the UN General Assembly opens, a special high-level meeting of the UN Security Council will discuss nuclear proliferation
It is written, ...."Who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents and scorpions" Deut. VIII,15.
Why fiery serpents? When G-D allows Israel to fall under the oppression of other nations,--- He G-D weeps. as it is written, "My soul weeps in secret places" Jer. XIII:17
It says in scripture...." In the light of the king's countenance there is life" Prov. XVI:15, but if our Master is cast down in spirit, and even sighing and weeping, what can hsi ministers do but follow His example? Therefore it is written....."Behold, their valiant ones (angels) cry without, the angels of peace weep bitterly" Isaiah XXXIII:7.
Why do they cry? Because their LORD is within and they are without; because their LORD is in the inner chambers and they are in the outer courts.
Why are they called "angels of peace"? Are there angels who are not of peace? YES! For there are emissaries both of stern judgement and of less stern judgement, and there are those whose atribute is justice mingled with mercy, and some who represent mercy only. It is these last who are called "Angels of peace".
Of the lowest degree of heavenly beings it is written...."I clothe the heavens with blackness and I make sackcloth their covering" Isaiah L:3.
But nevertheless, unto what end do the principalities of the other nations cause G-D'S people to suffer, seeing that it makes their Master grieve? They only carry out their office and they needs must do the ----will of their LORD.
Do the nations, surve them selves, those who are in control, or do they serve, the people? Who are those that you serve, do you know? England, and Israel is looking who is a Jew, and who is not? Why is this England?
Let me help.....For it is written...Jer.31:27 Behold, the day-s come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast. Mary Robenson Fracas, the wrong battle is man's battle with man. Ireland has been seeded with the line of Judah. Dan and Judah, once, the tribe of Dan was used to come up and guide the flank, look up and see who G-D used them. Samson was from the tribe of Dan and was given great strength, but nevertheless failed G-D. Will G-D give, the blessing on this tribe as it is written,,,,,he will bruse the head and foot of the ridder? Look to see who you are at war with, the goal is to recongnize and understand the truth, wherever the hunt might lead.
Let me start you off.... Gen. 3:15 two set of offsprings satan's and mankinds....Zarah the offsping of satan's.
Jeremiah was given a great commission by G-D to plant the tender twigs, these were the girls of Israel, the blood line of Judah that seeded with the kings of Ireland, on the Stone of Destiny. And Mary, if you have the stone, this does not mean you have the blood line. Remember it was given to Scotland my a king to a brother who invaded Scotland and now is in England.
The Obama administration is apparently unable to understand the predicament it places American Jews in when it pretends to be acting with "evenhandedness" but make demands of Israelis and their government but does not demand the same of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the Palestinian authority, Hamas, the Arab League, and others in the region. It seems to have taken the habitual "we've gone native" point of view employed by the State Department for years.
That said, the writer's comment that perhaps honoring Robinson was a "lack of vetting by the Administration" is more shallow an apology for them than should be allowed. Who selected her? What discussion was there? And why not complain publicly?
We have Emanuel and others who appear, in an attempt to be worldly like the President, don't want to answer to anyone...ever.
Marc Stern is the classic "let's not make waves Jew" that has dogged our people for millennia. When African Americans are affronted they correctly speak out in no uncertain terms, why are we expected to do otherwise? Mary Robinson, by presiding over the Durban Conference of 2001 administered a slap in the face to all Jewish people; that includes the pusillanimous "Uncle Hymie" ones on the left. As each day passes, the Community organizer now occupying the White House shows his disdain for Israel and mainstream Judaism. As Jews, we have an obligation to take him to task for his actions that we deem detrimental to us as a people.
Jerrold L. Sobel
If anyone wants a list of virulent anti-Israel/anti-Semitic extremist leftist fringe groups who hate Israel and work towards her destruction, look no further than the "statement' of "seven important Israeli Human Rights NGOs" (who make a mockery of "human rights" and are a fifth column against Israel) - contained in "Michael Levin's" post, above. Pathetic!
Frank, they're living in Israel and you are not.
Ireland, and Mary, said nothing that G-D has not said.
Read Ezekiel 12:17-28
